Welcome to Da-Fear Vacation Home
Our summer rental is a two level home and detached cabin on 1 acre of Cowichan Lake waterfront in Youbou, BC. This private property is all grass and easy walking on a gentle grade. We have several picnic tables on the property and a fire pit for night time campfires.
Bring your boat; we have a 6x60 dock to tie up to during your stay. Cowichan Lake has always been a favorite summer destination for swimming, boating and camping. For fishing enthusiasts, the season is open year round for a variety of trout such as Rainbow and Cut Throat.
Enjoy the area’s wonderful climate and beautiful surroundings. It's easy access to all activities from here. There are hiking trails galore and abundant wildlife. Don’t be surprised to see black bear or one of the resident Elk herds… after all we are in their backyard!Whatever your vacation goal is, there are endless things to do during your stay at Da-Fear on Cowichan Lake. Start the Great Lake Walk from your door step! We're only a one hour drive to the famous West Coast Trail and the windsurfing at Nitnat Lake is phenomenal! Other attractions worth a trip - Chemainus Murals and Butchard Gardens.
